Welcome to Shanti Therapy

Based in Greymouth and Moana, Lindsay Fox offers compassionate care for all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
With a background in special needs education and holistic healing, she creates a safe space for deep rest and renewal.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, recovering from trauma, or simply need to rest & reset, Shanti Therapy offers a restorative alternative to massage that supports your mind, body, and nervous system.
Relax. Rebalance. Feel whole.

How It Works
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works by supporting the body as a whole, recognising the interconnected nature of our tissues through a vast network of fascia and fluid systems.
By gently addressing areas where trauma, whether physical, emotional, or psychological, has created restriction or tension, the therapy helps the body release held patterns and restore natural balance and function.
This process is incredibly beneficial for deep relaxation, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to return to a state of ease.

What To Expect
At Shanti Therapy, your session begins with a gentle consultation before you’re invited to lie fully clothed on a warm, cozy table, supported by blankets, bolsters, and pillows.
The space is calm, softly lit, and deeply safe. Sessions begin with breath awareness and soft singing bowls, followed by Lindsay’s light, non-invasive touch, offering a sense of being held, not manipulated.
Many clients drift into deep rest, emerging calm and clear. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. This is your space to relax, reset, and come home to yourself.

The Benefits
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy supports your overall health and wellbeing through a gentle, non-invasive relaxation treatment. By helping the body release restrictions and patterns of dis-ease, it restores a sense of balance and ease throughout the system. This holistic therapy can positively affect physical discomfort, emotional stress, and mental tension—supporting recovery from trauma, anxiety, fatigue, and general overwhelm. Many clients leave sessions feeling deeply rested, grounded, and clear, carrying that calm, balanced state into their daily life with a renewed sense of presence and resilience.
About Biodynamic
Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that uses light, reverential touch to support the body’s natural ability to restore balance and wellbeing.
The calm, peaceful space created during a session helps your autonomic nervous system feel safe and supported, allowing it to shift from a state of “fight or flight” into “rest, digest, and heal.”
In this deeply relaxed state, the body can begin to release held tension, rebalance, and build new underlying energy.
BCST is widely used as a relaxation treatment to reduce stress, ease anxiety, and support emotional resilience. It acknowledges the deep connection between physical, emotional, and mental health, making it an effective therapy for a wide range of conditions. Suitable for all ages.
"This therapy isn’t just for people going through trauma or stress.
It’s for everybody. Whether you’re needing rest, healing, or simply a place to breathe deeply and let go, Lindsay fox at Shanti Therapy holds that space."

Biotensegrity: How the Body Balances Itself
Biotensegrity is a natural system where tension and support work together in harmony. In the musculoskeletal system, for example, muscles provide continuous pull while bones offer structural push.
This dynamic relationship keeps the body balanced, stable, and adaptable.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) works with this interconnected system, recognising that when tension or force is held in one area, it can disrupt the balance of the whole.
Through gentle, responsive touch, BCST helps the body release strain, restore balance, and return to a state of ease and wellbeing.

Give the gift of relaxation with Shanti Craniosacral Therapy.
A gentle pause, a deep breath, and a return to balance.

Conditions That Respond Well to CranioSacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy supports the body in finding greater balance and ease through a wide range of conditions, including:
-
Congestion
-
Fatigue
-
Dental, jaw, or TMJ trauma
-
Digestive issues
-
Headaches
-
Sinusitis
-
Sleep disorders
-
BCST is also a valuable complementary therapy during times of severe illness.
Stress and Anxiety
Stress and Anxiety may be lowered by the balancing effect BCST can have on the Autonomic Nervous System. An activated nervous system may lead to secondary health issues such as poor sleep, disrupted bowel function, low energy and digestive disorders. The calming effect of BCST may give relief to these health issues also.
The holistic calming and rebalancing effects of BCST may resolve hormonal and emotional issues.
Sprains, strains, swelling and long term pain
Sprains, strains, swelling and long term pain all may respond favourably to BCST by encouraging reorganisation of fluids and tissues and balancing the Central and Autonomic Nervous Systems.
Post Traumatic Stress
BCST may help the body, mind and spirit release trauma that can be affecting the system physically, emotionally and mentally. By working holistically, the client is supported to connect with the body’s own ability to self repair where the healing is self paced and gentle, releasing held tension as the body is ready.
Hormonal issues
Hormones and emotions may settle and come into balance with Craniosacral therapy. The balancing and toning down of the Autonomic and Central nervous systems can have a wonderful effect on other systems in the body such as the Neuroendocrine system (glands and hormone production) and the Limbic system (which supports functions including emotion, behaviour and motivation).
Antenatal Craniosacral Therapy
Antenatal Craniosacral Therapy may support the Mother’s body to adjust to the naturally happening physical, emotional (hormonal) and psychological changes. By calming the Mother’s system, symptoms of nausea, headaches, back and pelvic pain may be alleviated. A sense of balance and renewed energy can then be redirected to the health of Mum and Baby. By relaxing tension the health of the body and mind may be optimised in readiness for the birth.
Babies and Toddlers
For Babies and Toddlers the birthing experience and time in utero may have lead to some experiencing trauma leading to torsion or constrictive patterns remaining in the body. BCST may support their systems to release trauma, which if left unresolved may be held in the body, affecting health. Issues with feeding, sleep, colic, reflux and digestion may all settle. Once trauma or torsion is released issues with sleep, feeding, reflux, digestion and fussiness may settle. It is helpful to treat Mother and baby as their systems are intrinsically entwined.
Post Natal CST
Post Natal CST may help the new Mother’s body process and integrate the physical and emotional experiences of birthing.
By assisting Mother’s musculoskeletal and nervous systems to return to original health, focus can be directed to caring for the new born in a calm and balanced state.
Children's Health
BCST can have a calming effect on the child’s system, allowing balance and release of tension.
Renewed energy, focus, mental clarity, better sleep patterns and lowered anxiety may all come into play.
Supporting their system towards health and better well-being can change the way they relate with others in their home and school environment.
